Blast Chamber will once again have three rooms of music, including the mezzanine for those who wish to relax or watch the big screen.

Room 1: 80's and Retro Classics from The Vinyl Junkie


Room 2: Rock, Nu Metal, Emo, Punk, Grunge, Hardcore and Alternative from Dj Ron and Guests

Room 3: ANTE – ROOM “Classic punk, rock, goth and alternative”

Blast Chamber will now also be Longer, staying open till 3am

To coincide with the move, the New Roadmender will also open the New Smoking Zone, which you will find on the Roof. Plenty of seating and shelter making it a very comfortable place to smoke and relax.

So be sure to join us for the launch of The Blast Chamber at the New Roadmender on the 24th of May 2008.

The closure of Soundhaus and developments at Roadmender

It has been announced that the Soundhaus will hold its final Night on Friday 23rd of May 2008. The night will host some of the local acts who have used the Soundhaus as their home venue for many years.

In addition the Friday night will also play host to the battle of the decade.

The Shakedown Vs The Buzz

Both club nights have provided Northampton with a truly alternative Friday Night over the last decade.

The Soundhaus 1999-2008

All events after the 23rd of May will move down to the Roadmender. Where you will find two new stages, which will provide the Roadmender with three performance areas. In addition the Roadmender will be capable of holding two gigs on at once.

In time for the summer the Roadmender will also unveil the new smoking terrace on the roof. With plenty of seating and room for you all to enjoy. Blastchamber will have three rooms of music; also look out for our club gigs were you will be able to catch the acts that tipped for the top whilst enjoying your favourite club nights.

All at Purplehaus look forward to seeing you on the 23rd of May and over the coming months at the Roadmender, for what truly promises to be a unique experience.

If you like Battle Metal then you'll no doubt be going to see Turisas @ Soundhaus on Saturday 1st of March.

To help further promote this gig I'm being sent some promo material to give away to customers, Probably badges and tshirts, perhaps some cd's too. They should be here for this Saturday coming (23rd Feb), So come down if you want some.

Also on March the 8th we have Dj-neration X, Resident Dj of the King Billy, Coming and doing a guest Dj set, He promises to bring all things metal your way, So if you have tender ears I advise you leave them at home that evening :D

Finally if you have tickets for The Futureheads this saturday (23rd Feb) please note the venue has changed to Roadmender, They aren't playing at Soundhaus anymore.

New Years Eve

This years New Years Eve event will be held at The New Roadmender (There is no NYE event @ Soundhaus this year!!). It will be a gathering of Shakedown, The Blast Chamber and The Buzz's 'Ballroom Blitz'. The Blast Chamber will be in Bar 2, with Dj Ron and guests mixing a good mix of Metal, Punk, Rock, Emo and other stuff.... giving you the chance to rock your way into 2008!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we have a line up of local bands playing some awesome music, followed by The Blast Chamber Clubnight.

7.15pm - 7.45pm - Dreams Of The Damned - Metal/Ambient Rock

8pm - 8.30pm - Bill Snide - Hardcore / Metal

8.45pm - 9.15pm - The Atrocity Exhibit - Grindcore/Slow Tempo Death Metal

9.30 - 10pm - Sacred Mother Tongue -  Rock / Metal

Tickets are £3 and available from Roadmender, Door prices will be £5 on the night, so go buy a ticket and spend that saving on beer. Doors open at 7pm for live bands and Blast Chamber begins after the final band finishes. 

Boxing Day!

Boxing day falls on a wednesday, So Mosh have decided to keep their Wednesday clubnight on. So if your fed up of sitting at home eating left overs and trying to be all 'family like' then make your way to leicester for a 3 floor event of Rock - Indie - Punk. It will be a real laugh!

Well, They do say that no news is good news. But no news also leads to a boring looking page. So heres a list of some of the bands appearing soon at Soundhaus and Roadmender.

Moday 26th of November see's Saosin playing at Soundhaus. A good Emo/Rock band who are well worth looking up. Try listening to the song 'Its far better to learn', something I've been playing for months on end now at Blast Chamber. Tis good stuff :)

For all the older Gothicky Punk types theres New Model Army at Roadmender on the 29th of November, Followed by The Damned on the 4th of December.

Christmas and New years are also getting closer. Information on our plans for these nights will be revealed shortly :)

Its Halloween time again! That means fancy dress, sickly cocktails, fake blood everywhere and Michael Jacksons Thriller.

This years Hauntedhaus will be on The 3rd of November! Entry Prices will all still be normal (Although, this being a special event will have no free entry before 11pm) and as we do each year we will have a fancy dress competition for the best dressed people.

First prize for the Fancy dress competition will be:

A Bottle of Champagne

2 Blast Chamber New Years Eve Tickets

4 VIP passes to a Soundhaus/Roadmender gig of your choice, Including a Champagne recpetion once there.

The club will dress itself up too, aswell as having many themed drinky offers at the bar.

On Saturday the 29th Of September The Blast Chamber will be hosting a promo night for 'Down' and their new album 'Over The Under'.

The Promtion (In association with Roadrunner Records) will be Posters, Badges and fliers and maybe some over bits (If Roadrunner can sort them).

Saturday 1st Of September sees The Blast Chamber once again teaming up with Roadrunner to bring you a Atreyu promo night.

The night is to promote their new album 'Lead Sails Paper Anchor', Which is released on the 27th of August.

The night will have promotional materials available for all, aswell as beign free entry before 11pm!
